These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of The Insight Engine ("TIE", "Service"). By subscribing, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
TIE is a subscription service that delivers:
- Weekly research across 18 B2B marketing sources
- Personalised newsletter draft (600–800 words)
- Companion LinkedIn post
- Both delivered every Monday at 6am GMT
Important: TIE is a drafting tool, not a publishing service. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and publishing all content.
2. Subscription and Billing

Payment
- Processed securely via Stripe
- Automatic renewal on your billing date each month
- Failed payments: service paused after 3 failed attempts; account cancelled after 30 days
Refunds
- First month: Full refund if you're unhappy — email support@theinsightengine.co
- After first month: No refunds, but you can cancel anytime (no future charges)
3. Account Cancellation
How to cancel
What happens when you cancel
- No future charges
- Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- Your data (profile, drafts) is deleted 30 days after cancellation
- Beta users who cancel lose their £19/month rate — it cannot be reinstated
Pause vs cancel
- Want to pause rather than cancel? Email support@theinsightengine.co
- We'll hold your account without charging for up to 3 months
- Beta users keep their £19 rate when paused
4. Your Responsibilities
You agree to
- Review all drafts for accuracy before publishing
- Not rely on TIE as a fact-checking service
- Not hold TIE liable for inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Not use TIE for illegal, harmful, or misleading content
- Not resell or redistribute TIE's output
You understand that
- AI can make mistakes — fact-check before publishing
- TIE generates drafts, not final copy — editing is your responsibility
- TIE is a tool, not a replacement for your expertise
5. Intellectual Property
Your content
- You own all rights to content you create using TIE
- TIE does not claim ownership of your published newsletters or posts
- Your profile data belongs to you
TIE's content
- The Service, software, and algorithms are TIE's intellectual property
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service
AI-generated drafts
- Drafts generated by TIE are yours to use, edit, and publish
- TIE does not retain rights to your drafts after delivery
6. Service Availability
Uptime
- TIE aims for 99% uptime for weekly delivery
- Delivery delays due to technical issues: we'll notify you and deliver as soon as possible
No guarantee
- TIE is provided "as is" without warranties
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted service
- We are not liable for missed publication deadlines due to service outages
7. Limitation of Liability
TIE is not liable for
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated content
- Damages from publishing unverified information
- Lost revenue due to service outages
- Consequences of content you publish
Maximum liability
- Any claim against TIE is limited to the amount you paid in the last 12 months
- Typically £228 (£19/month × 12) for beta users, or £468 (£39/month × 12) for standard users
8. Changes to Service or Terms
Service changes
- We may add, modify, or remove features
- We may change pricing for new users — existing users are grandfathered at their current rate
- Beta users: £19 rate locked for life as long as subscription remains active
Terms changes
- We may update these Terms with notice
- Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance
- Material changes: we'll email you 30 days in advance
9. Termination
We may terminate your account if
- You violate these Terms
- You use the Service for illegal or harmful purposes
- Payment fails for 30+ days
Upon termination
- No refund for the current billing period
- Your data deleted within 30 days
- No access to past drafts
10. Dispute Resolution
Governing law
- These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
- Disputes resolved in UK courts
Informal resolution
11. Miscellaneous
Entire agreement
- These Terms together with the Privacy Policy constitute the complete agreement
- No verbal agreements outside these Terms
Severability
- If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect
No waiver
- Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision
Assignment
- You may not transfer your account to another party
- TIE may transfer its rights (e.g., if acquired)
